Wendy Harrison is an oil painter, painting still life and the natural landscapes and seascapes or North and South Devon. She is inspired by the Devon land, sea and rivers, sometimes working plein air, or sketching and taking photographs to paint in her studio. Her focus is expressive skies and bodies of water, capturing the silvery light and reflections to capture specific moments of the day and the ever-changing light and colours of the landscape.

 

Wendy was born in Warwickshire in 1972 and moved to Devon in 2005. She completed her BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design at Brighton School of Art, subsequently working as a designer for retailers including the Body Shop, Marks and Spencer and Topshop. For 15 years she ran a successful online gifting company called Letterfest, specialising in personalised art, illustrations and children’s books. She is a member of the Westward Ho and Bideford Arts Society and exhibits annually at their exhibition held at the Burton, Bideford. She also organises and curates the annual RNLI Art Show for RNLI Appledore and was a wild card entry on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2024.
